About Erin Mykleby

Erin Mykleby Before her time at the University of Iowa, Erin Mykleby earned a bachelor’s degree in Physical Education from Luther College where she was the women’s swimming and diving team captain as well as a Honorable Mention Academic All-American in 2011.

A significant portion of Erin Mykleby’s experience comes from the time she spent teaching and coaching swimmers and basketball and volleyball players for teams in Belgium. These days, Erin Mykleby’s high level of education and experience has landed her at Saint Leo University, where she serves as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement.

Erin MyklebyOnce a swimmer on the Luther College women’s swimming and diving team, Erin Mykleby was named as an Honorable Mention to the Academic All-American team in 2011. She did that as she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education. In addition to her time as a swimmer, she also has teaching and coaching experience in a number of sports in Belgium, including swimming,  volleyball and basketball.

Following her time at Luther College, Erin Mykleby received a Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Iowa. While at Iowa, Erin also worked as a teaching assistant  at the same time she was a supervisor for the undergraduate Sports Business Internship program. As a graduate intern with the Iowa athletic department in event management, Erin Mykleby managed numerous athletic events, championships and other key athletic events.

Erin Mykleby is currently the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement for Saint Leo University.

Back in 2013, as a graduate assistant for the the University of Iowa, Erin Mykleby coordinated the “ball kids” for two rounds of the 2013 NCAA Women’s Division I basketball tournament, which was held in Indianapolis.  Erin also served as the summer intern for Indianapolis-based USA Track & Field in the fields of High Performance and Coaching Education.

Also while Erin Mykleby was in the process of earning her Master’s degree in Sports Management from the University of Iowa, she was an athletic program teaching assistant, as well as a supervisor for the undergraduate Sports Business Internship program.

She has a lot of education to draw upon, in addition to the athletics. While Erin Mykleby was earning a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Luther College in 2012, for example, she also was a captain of the women’s swimming and diving team, where she earned Honorable Mention Academic All-American in 2011. Erin Mykleby also taught and coached a number of sports in Antwerp, Belgium, including basketball, volleyball and swimming.

Erin Mykleby has compiled a number of experiences in athletic departments all over the country. That is why she is well-suited for her current position as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement for Saint Leo University.

Erin Mykleby earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Luther College in 2012, where she was also a captain for the women’s swimming and diving team. In 2011, she was Honorable Mention Academic All-American and she gained a lot of experience from teaching and coaching sports such as volleyball, basketball and swimming in Antwerp, Belgium. Prior to joining Saint Leo University, Erin also worked with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), where she served as liaison to a number of NACDA affiliate organizations, including the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA).

In addition to her Bachelor’s Degree, Erin Mykleby also obtained her Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Iowa in December 2014. And while she was there, Erin was a teaching assistant for the Iowa athletic program and she also served as a supervisor for the undergraduate Sports Business Internship program. She also was a graduate intern for the University of Iowa’s athletic department in event management, where she managed athletic events, championships and other key athletic events.
