In 2013, at the University of Iowa, Erin Mykleby coordinated the “ball kids” for two rounds of the 2013 NCAA Women’s Division I basketball tournament. Erin also served as the summer intern for Indianapolis-based USA Track & Field in the fields of High Performance and Coaching Education.
Erin Mykleby has compiled a number of experiences in athletic departments all over the country. That is why she is well-suited for her current position as the Assistant Athletics Director for Marketing, Fundraising, and Community Engagement for Saint Leo University.
Erin Mykleby earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Education from Luther College in 2012, where she was also a captain for the women’s swimming and diving team. In 2011, she was Honorable Mention Academic All-American and she gained a lot of experience from teaching and coaching sports such as volleyball, basketball and swimming in Antwerp, Belgium. Prior to joining Saint Leo University, Erin also worked with the National Association of Collegiate Directors of Athletics (NACDA), where she served as liaison to a number of NACDA affiliate organizations, including the Division II Athletics Directors Association (D2ADA) and the Division II Conference Commissioner’s Association (D2CCA).
In addition to her Bachelor’s Degree, Erin Mykleby also obtained her Master’s degree in sports management from the University of Iowa in December 2014. And while she was there, Erin was a teaching assistant for the Iowa athletic program and she also served as a supervisor for the undergraduate Sports Business Internship program. She also was a graduate intern for the University of Iowa’s athletic department in event management, where she managed athletic events, championships and other key athletic events.
